The Institute For Leadership Studies at Dominican University of California has recognized Lara Rajninger, Executive Director of Kids Cooking For Life, with the prestigious Community Leadership Award for her outstanding dedication to community impact and leadership development.

The award was presented by Dr. Denise M. Lucy, Executive Director and Professor at the Institute for Leadership Studies, honoring Rajninger’s “exceptionally dedicated leadership and significant positive community impact. ” The recognition highlights her commitment to inspiring others, fostering belonging, and creating a lasting legacy of community engagement.

For approximately 10 years, Rajninger has partnered with Dominican University to provide hands-on internship opportunities for business leadership students. These collaborations have strengthened Kids Cooking For Life while giving students meaningful, real-world experience.
