I have 28 years of service in public education.  I have worked in districts around the country (Utah, New York, Northern California, Southern California, North Carolina, St. Thomas).  I worked 12 years as a general education teacher in multiple grades (1st - 7th).  I worked 5 years as a district mathematics instructional coach and grade level lead professional/curriculum developer.  I worked for the State of Utah as a PBIS/MTSS education specialist, working with four school districts around the state.  I worked 5 years as a national educational consultant in math curriculum and education.  Currently, I am working as a school administrator in Sonoma County.  I joined Kids Cooking for Life board two years ago and have been involved with the education committee aligning practices with school expectations and the development of training for new staff.  I love working with children and teaching them the joys of learning new skills.

I am the mother of three children and have been married for 28 years.  I love cooking with and for my family, as well as cooking for my friends.  I grew up cooking with my mother who was a lead county educator for the 4-H programs in the area.  She also encouraged my kids to cook alongside her and taught them about the joys of growing food.  I love spending time with my family by spending time outside, traveling and having discussions about the world around us.
