Simple Black Bean Dip/Spread

This delicious kid favorite black bean dip is so flavorful, healthy and easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 15-ounce can of black beans, rinsed and drained
  • ½ cup fresh cilantro leaves (large stems removed)
  • ¼ small onion
  • 1 Tablespoon sweet mild small peppers, chopped
  • 1 small garlic clove, peeled
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
Vegetable Sticks
  • Carrot, washed and cut into strips
  • Celery, washed and cut into strips
  • Bell peppers, washed and cut into strips

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients for the dip in a blender/food processor and process until it’s smooth.
  2. Serve with vegetable sticks.

  • You can dip rice crackers, pita bread or pita chips
